Picture this, if you will...Thursday afternoon we load and move 10 vehicle loads of items about 20 miles across town. Of course, this has been preceded by weeks of pricing and organizing taking up two garage bays, plus portions of our driveway. Next, we set up about 7 huge tables made of plywood and get out "the stuff" to put on them. Suddenly, we look up and here comes a hideous looking storm. The next thing we know, Red Mountain disappears from our view...the neighbors are yelling "batten down the hatches!" We race to get tarps on the tables and tuck them in...too late! The storm hits with 70 plus mph winds, ripping off tarps and lifting up plywood. "Retreat, retreat!", we yell and start moving bags and boxes in the half a garage space available (remember we have 3 bays worth of stuff). We throw things in any space available (our van, the trucks, our pockets...no too small) as dust pelts our faces. Finally, after an hour of dust-inhaled, adrenelin-surging work, we collapse exhausted on our friend's living room floor...(to be continued)
