A Winter Wonderland

Our state has some beautiful colors if you drive up into the mountains in the fall. We took a day trip up there on the first week of October this year and were caught off guard. While the rest of the country was having record heat waves for October...our little stretch of mountains was covered in a foot of snow. We still had a fabulous day and thanked the Lord for his awesome creation. On an Esther side note...in the past two weeks she has really made some great gains in bonding. For the first time now she allows me to hold her close when she has an "owie" and even snuggles back a little bit. We consider this a great victory on the road to attachment. On October 26th she will have been with us for 4 months!
