Before you panic...our latest adoption was of the 4 legged kind. Let me introduce you to Lucy the 6 year old Beagle. She is mostly an outdoor dog, great with kids, only does a little of the Beagle howl/bark thing, and loves any people food you put in front of her. We are still working on her obedience of "come Lucy!", so at this point she is in the dog run or on a leash. Her addition to our family was a compromise after we told the kids some time after we brought Esther home we would get a dog. Their interpretation of "some time" differed greatly from ours...so Lucy is a nice fit for our family:)

She also decided hats are OK, as long as she is the one putting them on:)
This is the jump-rope, hoola-hoop girl in action. With kindergarten comes the desires to master certain skills. For our girl, it has been jumping rope and the hoola-hoop. Here she demonstrates that one can do both at the same time!!
