About a week ago, our youth group hosted a fund raising event for a local middle school student who has been battling Leukemia for about a year. He is in Seattle Children's Hospital and received his bone marrow tranplant from his sister back in February. His name is Hunter Tank if anyone wants to visit his blog and hear his story at Caring Bridge.com.
Anyway, the Spaghetti Fund Raiser with silent auction raised about $10K for this family who needs to put in all wood floors in their home in order to bring Hunter into hospital like conditions when he is able to come home...we hope in June. So, these photos are some excerpts of our middle schoolers in action as they so professionally greeted, seated, and served people. Another fun side event we had was the "Hair for Hunter" booth, where people auctioned off their hair to support Hunter. You can see what cool cats below auctioned their heads...

This soon to be bald guy raised $25 to have his head shaved...donated by mostly admiring middle school young ladies I might add.
This young man raised another $25 for his chrome dome. Esther had to check it out to see if it was really still him :O)
By the way...Alpaca Rob raised $300 for shaving it all!! Can you believe it? Someone even offered more to shave his back too, but our stylist/buzzer said "no way!" Too fun!!!
