The Arboretum Field Trip

So, what did we do over Spring Break while mom was recovering from an abscess tooth and sinus infection? We took a road trip to a nearby arboretum and tested out packing all six of us in the pick-up with extra cab. Can you say tight squeeze?

So, here are two of the happy campers ready to explore some trees!! Esther was so thrilled to be wearing a backpack like big sissy usually does.



As you can see, the boy's hair is starting to grow back. Some brotherly love caught on film here...they have captured the elusive pine cone of a deciduous Redwood. Big deal you say? Well, this tree was brought in from China and is one of the few pines that actually loses it's needles each year. It hardly looked like a pine at all. Kinda cool!

Big, little, and half pint...we depart the Chinese garden section and head back to the headquarters.
