Time Zones, Time Warps, and Adjustments

So, you tell me over a week has passed? Wow!!! We have been in la, la land (where ever that is). Between days and nights getting confused, Esther getting sick and throwing up most of what she ate for several days, doctor trips, and just trying to spend time with our kids, family, and friends in our awake moments...somehow a week has slipped past us. It has been a week of many adjustments for all of us. Mostly, we have had to slow way down and take one bottle at a time, one feeding at a time, one nap at a time, and realize all the changes for this little girl, our kids, and us old fogey parents who don't operate well on little sleep.

There have been tearful moments and cheerful moments as we adapt and make changes to our life as a family of six. Our kids have been outstanding and have enjoyed just hanging and watching Esther play and experience new things like board books, stairs, grass, pea gravel, a high chair....things we take for granted, but are all new things for her. We will try to update our blog weekly for a while so those who are interested can see her progress and changes on the homefront. Here are a few photos from this past week.

The happy crew wearing their China attire. The boys got hats that said "ge, ge" (pronounced guh, guh which means big brother).

This is je,je (pronounced jhee, jhee) big sis, getting aquainted with her mei, mei (may, may little sis).

This is our social butterfly Esther enjoying herself at a neighborhood gathering. This was before she got sick. She is quite the flirt with the teenage boys!!
