USA here we come!!

The day of our return is at hand. We got Esther's visa today at the US Consulate. Yes, the big moment when we raised our right hand with the mass of other folks adopting kids here and we all swear that all the information that we have been giving the US government over the past two years in this adoption process was true. Then we were handed the famous "brown sealed envelope", which contents must stay sealed within until we reach the imigration folks in Seattle. Unfortnately we can't post any pictures of all this as cameras, or any recording devices for that matter, are not permitted in the US Consulate offices. So instead I will post the time honored and traditional "red couch" pictures. We were told that at the White Swan, as you are gettting ready to head to the Consulate to get your childs visa, that you must take baby's picture on the red couch on the second floor lobby. So, here are the famous Red Couch pictures of Esther Grace Qiu Ju Edrington (one by herself and one with us).

The happy trio

The happy, soon to be American, Esther on the "Red Couch"

I better head to bed since our wakeup call will be at 0430 and the luggage is to be in the hall at 0500 hrs. You can get your first live sighting of Esther at the Pasco International Airport at 11:25 am Wednesday(2:25 am the 5th of July China time) as we make our Yankee Doodle Dandy finish to this great adventure. Oh, I can feel that dry Tri-Cities air already, maybe I will finally stop sweating. Let freedom ring, Good night from China one last time; this is Alpaca Rob signing off....

That sweet angel is full of smiles. We'll all be looking forward to meeting your new family member and would love to see her take her first steps on American soil. God is good, and has seen fit to bless you with such a special gift. Safe flying to you. Even if the sun isn't shining when you get here, we know that skies will be illuminated by your joy! See you soon.
